The most searched date question on Google is "how many days until Christmas." It gets over 5 million searches every December. The second most searched is "days between dates." Both questions deserve a fast, accurate answer. That is what this site does.
Each calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your dates never leave your screen. There are no server calls, no database, and no cookies tied to your inputs.
Live Holiday Countdowns
Nineteen dedicated pages track the most-searched holidays in the United States. Each page shows a live countdown that updates every second and resets automatically the day after the holiday passes.
Fixed-date holidays include Christmas (December 25), New Year's Day (January 1), Independence Day (July 4), Halloween (October 31), Valentine's Day (February 14), St. Patrick's Day (March 17), Tax Day (April 15), Cinco de Mayo (May 5), and New Year's Eve (December 31).
Floating holidays use official US formulas: Thanksgiving (4th Thursday of November), Easter (first Sunday after the Paschal full moon), Mother's Day (2nd Sunday of May), Father's Day (3rd Sunday of June), Memorial Day (last Monday of May), Labor Day (1st Monday of September), MLK Day (3rd Monday of January), Presidents Day (3rd Monday of February), Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving), and Super Bowl Sunday (set annually by the NFL).

How These Calculators Work
Every calculation uses your device's internal clock and built-in date math. There are no server calls. There is no database. There are no cookies tied to your inputs.
Leap years are handled automatically. A year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4, except when divisible by 100, unless also divisible by 400. The year 2024 was a leap year. The next leap year is 2028. The calculator adjusts February to 29 days in those years.
Daylight saving time does not affect day-level counting because the calculator counts calendar days, not hours. The live countdown timer uses your local clock and adjusts automatically when daylight saving begins or ends.
Built for Speed and Privacy
The site loads in under one second on most connections. There are no popups. There is no email gate. There is no account requirement.
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to count visits. We do not see what dates you enter. We do not see your name, email, or location beyond country-level analytics. We do not sell data.
